JOHN MCCAIN'S REMARKS ABOUT THE PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

In light of the recent appeals court ruling in
California, with respect to the Pledge of Allegiance, the following
recollection from Senator John McCain is very appropriate:
"The Pledge of Allegiance" - by Senator John McCain

As you may know, I spent five and one half years as
a prisoner of war during the Vietnam War. In the early years of our
imprisonment, the NVA kept us in solitary confinement or two or three to a
cell. In 1971 the NVA moved us from these conditions of isolation into
large rooms with as many as 30 to 40 men to a room.

This was, as you can imagine, a wonderful change
and was a direct result of the efforts of millions of Americans
onbehalf of a few hundred POWs 10,000 miles from home.
One of the men who moved into my room was a young
man named Mike Christian. Mike came from a small town near
Selma, Alabama. He didn't wear a pair of shoes until he was
13 years old. At 17, he enlisted in the US Navy.
He later earned a commission by going to Officer
Training School Then he became a Naval Flight Officer and
was shot down and captured in 1967.
Mike had a keen and deep appreciation of the
opportunities this country and our military provide for
people who want to work and want to succeed.

As part of the change in treatment, the Vietnamese
allowed some prisoners to receive packages from home. In some of
these packages were handkerchiefs, scarves and other items of clothing.
Mike got himself a bamboo needle. Over a period of a
couple of months, he created an American flag and sewed on the inside
of his shirt. Every afternoon, before we had a bowl of soup, we
would hang Mike's shirt on the wall of the cell and say the Pledge of
Allegiance.

I know the Pledge of Allegiance may not seem the
most important part of our day now, but I can assure you that in
that stark cell it was indeed the most important and meaningful event.
One day the Vietnamese searched our cell, as they
did periodically, and discovered Mike's shirt with the flag sewn inside,
and removed it.

That evening they returned, opened the door of the
cell, and for the benefit of all of us, beat Mike Christian severely
for the next couple of hours. Then, they opened the door of the cell and
threw him in. We cleaned him up as well as we could.

The cell in which we lived had a concrete slab in
the middle on which we slept. Four naked light bulbs hung in each corner
of the room.

As I said, we tried to clean up Mike as well as we
could. After the excitement died down, I looked in the corner of the
room, and sitting there beneath that dim light bulb with a piece of
red cloth, another shirt and his bamboo needle, was my friend, Mike
Christian. He was sitting there with his eyes almost shut from the
beating he had received, making another American flag. He was not
making the flag because it made Mike Christian feel better. He was
making that flag because he knew how important it was to us to be
able to Pledge our allegiance to our flag and country.

So the next time you say the Pledge of Allegiance,
you must never forget the sacrifice and courage that thousands of
Americans have made to build our nation and promote freedom around the
world. You must remember our duty, our honor, and our country

"I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United
States of
America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under
God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."

PASS THIS ON... and on... and on! You can even send
it back to me, I don't mind, because its worth reading again

More than a year ago, a contact within GM told me that the new GMT-900 body style wasn't a bold move forward in styling and that from a distance, it would hard to tell a 2006 from a 2007. Now that we've seen the new trucks, we know that early assessment was more or less true, but the front-end treatments are quite a bit different. Whether the new styling appeals to the masses remains to be seen, but we like the look, and are relieved that the GMC truck styling diverged from the SUV lineup released mid 2006. Increasing competition and higher fuel costs have made all domestic truck manufacturers step up the quality, durability, capability, performance and styling of their HD pickup offerings. GM's newest 2007 model-year 2500HD/3500 pickups are being advertised as having a "significant increase in fit, finish and refinement" - aka quality. Let's have a look at the GM's new HD pickups.

The lower level LT models get a more "work truck" appearing interior, but still offering many options.

Even the "EZ-Lift, torque rod assisted" tailgate gets a sculpting treatment and employs welded-on hinges. In addition, the cargo box has been upgraded in strength and dent resistance, as well as receiving an increase in cargo capacity and tie-down options. Box length options include either 6'-6" or 8' for all standard cab, extended cab and crew cab models. That's right, the dually models are now available with a 6'-6" box.

IRAQ THE MODEL

A message to Cindy Sheehan
I realize how tragic your loss is and I know how much pain there is crushing your heart and I know the darkness that suddenly came to wrap your life and wipe away your dreams and I do feel the heat of your tears that won't dry until you find the answers to your question; why you lost your loved one?

Cain and Abel

Cain & Abel is a password recovery tool for Microsoft Operating Systems. It allows easy recovery of various kind of passwords by sniffing the network, cracking encrypted passwords using Dictionary, Brute-Force and Cryptanalysis attacks, recording VoIP conversations, decoding scrambled passwords, revealing password boxes, uncovering cached passwords and analyzing routing protocols. The program does not exploit any software vulnerabilities or bugs that could not be fixed with little effort. It covers some security aspects/weakness present in protocol's standards, authentication methods and caching mechanisms; its main purpose is the simplified recovery of passwords and credentials from various sources, however it also ships some 'non standard' utilities for Microsoft Windows users.
Cain & Abel has been developed in the hope that it will be useful for network administrators, teachers, security consultants/professionals, forensic staff, security software vendors, professional penetration tester and everyone else that plans to use it for ethical reasons. The author will not help or support any illegal activity done with this program. Be warned that there is the possibility that you will cause damages and/or loss of data using this software and that in no events shall the author be liable for such damages or loss of data. Please carefully read the License Agreement included in the program before using it.
The latest version is faster and contains a lot of new features like APR (Arp Poison Routing) which enables sniffing on switched LANs and Man-in-the-Middle attacks. The sniffer in this version can also analyze encrypted protocols such as SSH-1 and HTTPS, and contains filters to capture credentials from a wide range of authentication mechanisms. The new version also ships routing protocols authentication monitors and routes extractors, dictionary and brute-force cracke

An intimate look at Gypsy refugees in Belgrade suburb who make a living by transfoming Citroen's classic 2cv and Dyana cars into Mad Max-like recycling vehicles, with which they ollect cardoard, bottles and scrap metal. These modern horses are much more efficient than the cart-pushing competition, but more important - they also mean freedom, hope and style for their crafty owners. Even the car batteries are used as power generators in order to get some light, watch tv and recharge mobiles! Almost an alchemist's dream come true!
